Polar Family Sculptural Bowl

The Polar Family Sculptural Bowl is one of the central pieces in the Guardians of the Ice collection.
It was born from the most intimate moment I witnessed during my expedition to Svalbard: a mother polar bear and her two cubs sitting on icebergs in the Arctic sea, sharing a moment of stillness, vulnerability, and strength, the kind only wild nature can reveal.

This piece is entirely hand-built in warm stoneware clay and features a detailed sculpture of the bear family, carefully hand-painted with slips and sealed with a transparent glaze.
The outer base of the bowl is glazed in a deep navy blue, evoking the calm of the polar ocean and creating a striking contrast that frames the sculptural scene.

Due to its artistic design and versatility, this bowl can be used as:
• a planter for small plants or succulents,
• a decorative container for keys, jewelry, or personal objects,
• a centerpiece in an altar or meditation space,
• an ornamental bowl for an entryway, shelf, or table,
• a sculptural object displayed as a standalone piece of art.
