Little Auk Sculptural Bowl
The Little Auk Sculptural Bowl is inspired by one of my photographs captured in Svalbard: a bird known as the little auk soaring over the sea, framed by the towering Arctic mountains. A fleeting moment of light movement in an immense, silent, almost motionless landscape.
This bowl is entirely hand-built in warm stoneware clay and features a detailed sculpture of the little auk in mid-flight, carefully painted with slips and sealed with a transparent glaze.
The exterior base is finished in a deep navy blue glaze, evoking the stillness of the polar ocean and visually enhancing the central sculptural scene.
Thanks to its artistic design and versatility, this bowl can be used as:
• a planter for small plants or succulents,
• a decorative container for jewelry, keys, or everyday objects,
• a centerpiece in a personal altar or meditation space,
• an ornamental bowl for shelves, tables, or entryways,
• a sculptural object displayed as a standalone art piece,
• a symbolic vessel for intention-setting rituals, candles, or natural elements.
Each bowl is unique, with natural variations in color, texture, and brushwork that emerge from the slow, precise, and intentional artisanal process that defines my work.
This is limited-edition signature ceramic: vitrified, durable, and created for those who seek objects with soul, story, and purpose.
A piece that brings the energy of the Arctic into your home, a reminder of freedom, presence, and connection to the wild.
