Polar Family Small Plate

The Polar Family Small Plate is inspired by one of the most intimate and moving scenes I witnessed in Svalbard: a mother polar bear with her two cubs, sitting on drifting icebergs in the stillness of the Arctic sea.
An image of strength, tenderness, and survival that deeply shaped this collection.

This 20 cm plate transforms that encounter into a handcrafted ceramic piece — shaped by hand in warm stoneware clay, illustrated with slips in cool tones, and finished with a transparent glaze that enhances the natural texture of the clay and the details of the design.

Its versatile size makes it perfect for:

• decorating shelves, tables, or walls as an art piece.

Each plate is one of a kind, with natural variations in color, line, and texture that reflect the slow, manual, and intentional process behind my work.
