Little Auk Medium Mug

The Little Auk Medium Mug is inspired by one of my favorite photographs from the Svalbard expedition: a little auk flying across the frozen Arctic mountains.
A fleeting moment of pure motion in a still landscape, a reminder that even in the quietest territories, there is life, lightness, and strength.

Each mug takes that contrast and transforms it into ceramics: the fragility of a wing, the harshness of the elements, the depth of polar blue.
Hand-shaped in warm stoneware clay, it is illustrated with slips in Arctic tones and glazed with finishes that evoke the cold northern light and the bird’s flight over ice. Variations in color, texture, and brushwork make each piece one of a kind, no two mugs are alike.
