Polar Family Sugar Jar

Polar Family Sugar Jar

$65.00

The Polar Family Sugar Jar is inspired by one of the most moving scenes from my expedition to Svalbard: a polar bear mother and her two cubs sitting on drifting icebergs in the Arctic Sea — a moment of stillness, fragility, and strength amidst the polar landscape.

This functional piece is hand-shaped in white stoneware and decorated using the sgraffito technique, where the design is carefully carved into the surface to reveal fine and expressive details. It is then hand-painted with slips in cool tones and sealed with a transparent glaze that adds protection, a soft sheen, and enhances every line of the illustration.

Though originally intended as a sugar jar, its versatile design and artistic character make it perfect for multiple uses:
• container for honey, fine salt, or specialty spices
• jar for loose-leaf tea, herbs, or ground coffee
• small vessel for jewelry or accessories
• decorative piece for shelves, tables, or display areas

This is a limited-edition functional ceramic piece, vitrified, durable, and created for those who seek to be surrounded by soulful objects filled with meaning, purpose, and connection to the wild.

A piece that brings the silent tenderness of the Arctic into your home, turning the everyday into an act of presence.
