Little Auk Large Plate
The Little Auk Large Plate is inspired by one of my photographs taken in Svalbard: a little auk flying across the towering Arctic mountains, an image that blends lightness, freedom, and the vastness of a remote landscape.
This 27 cm dinner plate transforms that moment into a handcrafted ceramic piece made from warm stoneware clay, illustrated with slips in cool tones and finished with a transparent glaze that evokes the crisp northern light and the bird’s motion over ice.
Each plate carries the energy of the Arctic in its brushstrokes, textures, and shades, all of which naturally vary from piece to piece —making every unit truly unique.
Thanks to its generous size, this plate works both as a functional piece for special meals and as a decorative item to hang or display in your home.
It’s limited-edition functional ceramics: durable, vitrified, and crafted through a slow, intentional process that honors the beauty of the landscape that inspired it.
The ideal plate for those seeking more than a table setting, a piece that tells a story of freedom, wild nature, and quiet contemplation.
